To promote children’s rights, prevent and protect them from abuse and neglect, and ensure an environment that encourages them to realize their full potential.
Objectives
As an advocate for children ANPPCAN Kenya pursues the following objectives:
To serve as a National Centre for the Prevention from and Protection against Child Abuse and Neglect.
To facilitate the promotion, defense and advocacy of children’s rights as set out in the United Nation Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC), African Charter on the Rights and Welfare of the Child (ACRWC) and the Children Act 2001 Cap.586 of the laws of Kenya.
To provide legal aid and where necessary litigation to child victims of abuse and neglect or those in conflict with the law.
To lobby for the review of all laws affecting, or relating to children in Kenya with a view to ensuring their systematic development and reform.
To empower communities to protect their children from abuse and neglect.
To collaborate and network with organizations having ideals similar to those of ANPPCAN Kenya.
